Olleco AD Waste Plant - Aylesbury

Periodic Cleaning Solutions is proud to announce the commencement of the Build Cleaning Package at Olleco’s £30 million AD Plant in Aylesbury. Our fourth project this year for Buckinghams Contracting Group, the Olleco Project continues or Strategic Partnership and secures Periodic Cleaning as a true specialist in the field of large scale Pre Occupancy Build Cleans.

Arla and the waste firm Olleco have predicted the digester to process 50,000 tonnes of Biomass made up of waste food to power what is the world’s biggest dairy. The plant will produce enough renewable energy to offset Arla’s Carbon footprint at the Dairy.

Our Cleaning programme includes offices, warehouse and technical cleaning to the external plant and warehouse processing areas. Our teams of Experienced Managers & Operatives have been tasked with completing the work to a strict timeframe working alongside existing on site trades.

A materials recycling facility is also proposed for the site which would receive, separate and prepare 80,000 tonnes of recyclable materials so that they can re-enter the manufacturing process once more. All of the waste packaging will come from one fast food chain. Anaerobic digestion is widely used as a source of renewable energy. The process produces biogas, consisting of methane, carbon dioxide and traces of other gases which can be used directly as a fuel.

Periodic Cleanings General Manager Rupert Smith commented “While we don’t actively go out to market to attract Specialist Projects such as this, we welcome every aspect of delivering them. Our clients, both existing and new, can be confident of a seamless delivery of works even within the most demanding of operational and commercial environments. We have a proven track record working with Buckingham Group, and look forward to a successful conclusion of our works and expansion of our wider strategic partnership.”
