Unique Support Services - Removal of pigeon guano for Croydon Council

  • Posted on: 25 August 2016

Recently we have been assigned with a task of cleaning guano of an exterior utility courtyard for Croydon council. (Area shown in the 'Before' pictures)

Guano or pigeon droppings are not only undesirable due to aesthetics, but it also poses a threat to the external façade of a building and can be potentially harmful to people.

The acid content in guano can lead to deterioration of soft stone and cause long-term damage to the building. Droppings on the ground might turn surfaces slippery and create health and safety issues.

Further health and safety concerns are the allergens, parasites and fungi present in the droppings, in case of inhaling which could cause respiratory diseases.

All of the above is just a short list of reasons why it is extremely important to keep up with guano removal and cleaning.

We have sent our specially trained team to tackle the contaminated/effected area; using correct guano cleaning chemicals, including highly effective guano cleaning solutions and ornithological disinfectants.

Carrying out the work safely and methodically, we have achieved desirable results, as shown in the ‘After’ pictures.

Client may rest assured that their employees are yet again working in a clean and safe environment, highlighting the added advantage of the chemicals used in the process being environmentally friendly.
